Chassis MDT ACC Premier Gen2 - Tikka T3/T3x SA
This MDT ACC Premier Gen2 - Tikka T3/T3x SA – Black chassis is a highly complete upgrade suitable for short and longer rifle actions. The chassis offers ample mounting options for accessories, as well as full adjustability for a custom fit.
Compared to the Premier Gen1, the Gen2 features a shortened 381 mm (15”) forend, The reduced length makes it very suitable for shorter barrels, however it supports barrels from 432 mm (17”) and longer. Because of this, the Gen 2 is an ideal chassis for both rimfire as well as centrefire rifles. However, this system has more valuable features, which we would like to highlight below.
The chassis is made from extremely strong 6061 aluminium, giving it exceptional rigidity. Of course, it features a V-block bedding system, ensuring secure, repeatable action placement within the chassis, with minimal movement while firing. This is essential for maximum shot accuracy.
In addition to having a shorter forend than the Gen1, this version is also wider, flatter and thicker. As a result, it serves as a highly stable platform when shooting from a barricade. An integrated tall barricade stop contributes to providing stability while also protecting the magazine. Thanks to the M-LOK slots on the bottom and sides of the forend, weights can also be mounted for added stability. Of course, it is also possible to mount other accessories, such as a bipod or tripod.
Furthermore, the top of the forend is provided with mounting holes for attaching items such as an accessory rail or control bridge. These not only add more mounting options, but also help reduce the effects of mirage caused by a hot barrel.
At the front of the magazine well, there is a cutout that makes the magazine release very easy to access. In addition, the chassis features an ambidextrous magazine latch, for both left- and right-handed shooters.
The MDT ACC Premier Gen2 chassis includes the MDT SRS-X Lite stock, which is pleasantly lightweight. With this stock, the LOP (length of pull) can be adjusted using spacers. It also features an adjustable cheek rest to ensure consistent eye alignment with the scope. At the bottom of the stock, there is an extra M-LOK slot that can be used to attach weight or other accessories.
Completing the chassis is the MDT Vertical Grip – Premier. This grip provides the shooter with a comfortable and ergonomic hand position relative to the trigger, resulting in a more natural shooting posture and improved stability. This significantly benefits shooting accuracy. For a perfect fit for every shooter, the grip’s side panels can be adjusted forwards and backwards, as well as the grip angle.The chassis is very easy to install and requires no gunsmith. It is designed for drop-in installation, and secured with two bolts. This allows for a fast and straightforward upgrade.
